 Hi Barbara,

 I have not spoke to you in quite a while. I was working in VA as a

Classified Contractor after leaving Florida as a Homicide Detective. I'm

good friends with Trooper Ken Houtz. Now I'm back in Florida full time.

 Anyway I just wanted to tell you what a fantastic job Jeff, Wheeler, Donna

and the Service Tech did for me. I have three H-D's. I was riding my 2010

CVO Ultra up the Blue Ridge Pky to meet friends in Leesburg and start a ride

of Old Route 66. My CVO had just got a ECM Update Download in Orlando. It

was awful! I could hardly ride the bike at slow and moderate speeds. Severe

surging and rough running. Fuel economy as low as 10 MPG when riding slow.

 Well your Service Dept. Was slammed and had no appointments for over a

month. I left the bike and they squeezed it in since I was traveling, away

from home.

They did a fantastic job and got the bike running better than it has in the

four years of ownership. Now I love the bike. They got it done in time for

me to head to Chicago and start the Route 66 Ride with my friends.

 Great job and I was extremely impressed. Thank You for hiring and training

such a great staff.  Excellence and customer service is always from the top

down.

Barbara and Jake, I just wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how much I appreciate how two of your service staff treated me.  The two I'm speaking of are Jeff Gochenour and Donna Whestphalen.  I called two weeks ago and got no answer due to the onslaught of people from the State HOG Rally on your place.  I sent them both an e-mail message with a copy to you both on 6/27.  Donna called me by phone later that same day to see what I needed and how she could help.  She said the shop was booked solid until the 18th of July, but if I could come in on Saturday, they could do the work then on a first come first serve basis.  I informed her I was going out of town for the 4th holiday weekend and was planning to go out of town for 10 days on the motorcycle starting on the 11th.  She said she needed to speak with Jeff and call me back.  She called me back about 5 minutes later and told me that Jeff told her if I could bring it in and leave it, he would see if he could work it in before the 11th.  I dropped it off on the 30th (Mon.) and got a call from Donna on the afternoon of the 3rd saying it was ready to be picked up.  You folks have always been very accommodating to me any time I've called/visited you. 

On another note it is very nice, comforting, mind easing, warm each time I come into service and Jeff says hello to me using my name.  I don't know how he's able to remember my name, only seeing me a few times a year.  He should be commended for this and I hope he's able to instill this on his other service staff as well.  I did notice when I came in this morning to pick up my scooter, Justin greeted me by name while he was dealing with another customer.  Maybe Jeff is asking his staff to as he does greeting customers.

This type of service is the reason I drive over an hour each way to have service work done.  I also pass two other H-D Dealers on my way to yours because of the way I'm respected and treated each time I come in.

"My wife and I were traveling on a weekend getaway when my bike broke down. We were close to Winchester Harley and managed to get the bike there at around 3:30 on a busy Saturday. Jeff and Donna got us in right away and technician Chris identified the problem immediately. They located the parts needed and Chris got the bike back together so we could continue on our trip. As the owner of an independent motorcycle shop, A to Z cycles in Dover, Delaware, this is what I would do for my customer and it was nice to see that there are still others out there who would do the same. "I posted a comment on Winchester Harley Davidson's Facebook page and also wanted to give kudos here as well. This is a delayed comment but it just shows how impressed I was with the service I was given at the time. I was out on a leisurely ride one afternoon back last September from Centreville, VA heading out to the Winchester area on 50 when I started to hear "clicking" noise coming from the rear of my 2005 FLHTCI near Middleburg. At first I thought it i had picked up a nail in the rear tire or had a pebble lodge itself within the "teeth" of the drive belt. I pulled off the side of the road and did an inspection of the tire and belt without removing the saddle bag. With nothing seen, I decided to continue on towards Winchester thinking it was closer to "civilization" in that direction than to turn back towards the Centreville area. As I continued down the road, the "clicking" noise became louder. About this time, not being aware of the Winchester HD dealer, rode passed it on 50 and decided to pull in and see if someone in the serivce deptartment could assist me in my travels. I pulled in, did one more self inspection and still hadn't found the casue of the noise. I met with the friendly woman who's name I can not recall and another gentleman who identified himself as the service manager. They both were welcoming and friendly and after explaining my plight to them, immediately took my bike in to look into my issue. After a birief test ride by the manager, he pulled it into the shop where they immediately placed it on a lift table for closer inspection. Now I have to admit i'm a bit skeptical about utilizing "dealerships" to service my Harley as they always tend to be very expensive and always seem to want to "upsell" any chance they get. They allowed me access to where my bike was and talk to the mechanic as he assessed my bike. To make this long story short, they had discovered that several of the rear drive pulley bolts had come loose and backed out casuing the heads of the bolts to strike the inside of the swingarm! The last people to access these bolts were another dealership in Raleigbh, NC where I had a rear wheel bearing replaced under warranty over a year prior. Apparently, the mechanic failed to use loc-tite when re-installing the rear wheel pulley bolts! Needles to say this event soured me 100% in how I viewed using mechanics or servieces via a dealership. The mechanic who was helping me at this time actually replaced all the bolts with new ones for good measure and re-installed them with loc-tite as I watched. All in all I was in and out of there in about an hour or so. I can't thank them enough for the quick assistance and friendly customer service. Due to this positive experience, they've made me a customer for life and i'd drive/ride out of my way to utilize their services again vs going to the Harley dealer in Fairfax which is much closer. Thanks a million to the service department!! You've renewed my faith in using a dealership service center!!"

"I've had a part ordered for 21 days I came to pick it up, and the parts guy told me it was on back order again till the 18th. I very disappointed I told him. he then got on the phone called another dealership an made the deal and now my part will be ready for pickup on the 7th of april. "I highly recommend Grove’s HD. After riding Metric Baggers for a number of years, I began researching Road King’s. There were questions I had that were not covered in the literature so I stopped by Grove’s one day to check things out. It was there that I met Mike Bennett in Motorcycle Sales. He had the answers to all my questions plus answers to questions I didn’t know enough to ask and provided me with written backup to everything he told me. When I made the final decision two weeks later, I felt that I was a very educated buyer. There were absolutely no last minute surprises. Grove’s did not have a Road King in the color I wanted so they sent their driver 40 miles up the highway to get one from another dealer. I wanted delivery that day because of deteriorating weather conditions and Mike made it happen. I’m retired military and have several years of experience buying homes, automobiles, etc. Grove’s HD is definitely at the top of my list for professionalism and courtesy."

"While the dealership is highly rated, I still beleive that they could go that extra step in making my visit to them a little more pleasant. Take for example. It would be very nice if while waiting for service if service personnel would come out and offer beverages and finger cakes (twinkies and ho-ho's are not considered appropriate). As an added benefit, a show would be nice. I suggest to have the mechanics break out into a Broadway number, with the Parts Personnel as backup singers. I would not suggest the Bike Salesfolks as we all know they can't sing or dance, and would totally ruin the production.. Totally.. Speaking of the SalesFolks, it is sometimes difficult to know who these individuals are. I suggest some kind of identifier, possibly have all the Sales Personell die their hair bright orange so they stand out from the crowd. or, have them carry one of those bicycle flags out of their back pocket.... I also suggest that in the event of rain, offer free limo service to a persons home so that they can get there safely. A few free complimentry drinks (5-10) would be nice as well... "I have been extremely pleased every step of the way at Groves Winchester Harley Davidson. I first went there after my 2001 Super Glide Sport broke down in the mountains of West Virginia and the nearest HD shop was Winchester. I had it towed there buy a guy they recommended. They realized my emergency situation and despite being busy got my bike finished the next day. As they worked on my bike I was in the showroom to long and came home with my first new vehicle of my life... a 2012 Road King Classic. I have had it for little over a year and have put on lots of upgrades. Every time there is something to be worked on, I have had professional service. These guys are fun, and are expert mechanics; and most important seem to love their jobs. I have been in so many HD shops were they take the customer for granted. Not at Groves, and that's while I drive all the way from Arlington VA to Winchester to get my bike worked on. Thanks Jeff, Jason, Todd and everyone else who has ever worked on my bike."

"I was riding thru Winchester when my throttle cable broke on my 04 Roadking . i call and you sent someone right out to get the bike ,this driver was very nice and made the ride injoyable back to the Dealership this was on a saturday and the were a few ahead of me so we went to your dinner for lunch and had a good lunch , after we ate we looked around for a while then back to check on the bike your guys were just finishing up . when i did get the bill i was pleased with the price i thought it was fair , over all everyone was very nice to deal with and you all did grate job , thank you for all your help "
